Welcome to School Nutrition Services

mySchoolBucks

Fredericksburg City Public Schools provides free breakfast and lunch to all students. Students who would like to purchase additional snacks or à la carte items may use funds deposited into their meal account through mySchoolBucks.

Using mySchoolBucks is optional. Families do not need to create an account for students to receive free school meals.

 

What You Can Do

With mySchoolBucks, families can:

  • Add money to meal accounts online or through the mobile app
  • View current account balances and cafeteria purchases
  • Set customized low-balance email alerts
  • Manage accounts for multiple children, even if they attend different FCPS schools
  • Make one-time or automatic payments
  • Receive deposit confirmations by email

Payments can be made using Visa, Mastercard or Discover. Deposits made through mySchoolBucks are typically available at the school by the following morning.

Checking balances, reviewing transaction history and receiving low-balance alerts are free. A convenience fee may apply when adding money to an account. Any applicable fee will be displayed before the payment is completed.

 

Create an Account

Visit mySchoolBucks and select Sign Up Free to create an account. After confirming your email address, you can add students using their school, name, date of birth and secure student ID number.

Find Your Student’s ID Number

To locate your student’s secure ID number:

  1. Open Alerts in the ParentSquare app.
  2. Select “mySchoolBucks!: New Online Meal Prepayment System Available Now!”
  3. Sign in to view the secure document.
  4. Find your student’s ID number at the top of the letter.

 

Security and Support

mySchoolBucks uses encryption to protect personal and payment information. Its Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are available on the mySchoolBucks website.

FCPS School Nutrition is committed to supporting students’ health, well-being, and academic success.

Breakfast and lunch are available at no cost to every FCPS student through the Community Eligibility Provision, and families do not need to complete a meal application. All meals, foods, and beverages served in our schools meet state and federal nutrition requirements based on USDA guidelines, providing students with a variety of balanced options that support their nutritional needs and encourage lifelong healthy habits.
