At Fredericksburg City Public Schools, the Department of Operations supports the daily functioning of our school buildings and student services through the coordination of essential facility and transportation services. The department works to ensure that schools and support facilities are safe, clean, efficient, and prepared to meet the needs of students, staff, and families each day. Operations oversees both the Maintenance and Transportation teams to facilitate building maintenance repairs, facility systems, grounds support, custodial coordination, and the safe transportation of students across the division. Their work plays a critical role in maintaining reliable learning environments and supporting the overall operation of the school division.

Through ongoing planning, responsiveness, and operational support, the Operations Department helps ensure schools remain functional, welcoming, and ready to support teaching and learning across FCPS.
