Good Evening Tiger Family!
I hope this message finds you safe, warm, and well-rested after our extended winter break and the unexpected week away due to inclement weather. We’re excited to welcome our students back tomorrow and can’t wait to dive into the engaging learning opportunities this new year holds.
Our dedicated teachers and staff have been preparing to ensure a smooth and seamless transition as we settle back into our routines.
Here are a few important announcements and updates for the week ahead:

Tiger Paw Academy Tutoring Restructure

If you have concerns or wish for your child to be considered for participation, please contact your child’s school counselor. The counselor will work with administration to assess eligibility.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help all students succeed.
After-School Clubs Sign-Up for Second Semester
We’re excited to announce that students can now sign up for after-school clubs for the second semester! Our first meeting will be on Friday, January 17, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.
Please note: Some clubs may already be at capacity. If a club is listed as (FULL) students will not be able to register for that club.
The sign-up form will remain open until January 16, so we encourage students to sign up early!
We can’t wait to see our students get involved and have fun!

This week, students will complete the MySaebers assessment to help us understand their social, emotional, and academic needs. The 10-minute assessment is mandatory and occurs three times a year.

Title I
Title I is the largest federal aid program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Through Title I, the federal government designates money to school districts around the country based on the number of students in need in each district. Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children, such as:
Class size reduction
Additional teachers and paraprofessionals
Parent resources
Instructional materials and supplies
Tier 2 and Tier 3 support services
The focus of the Title I program is to ensure all students meet challenging content and achievement standards. Title I also authorizes federal grant programs that provide funds for reading instruction, services to migrant children, services to neglected and delinquent children, comprehensive school reform, and dropout prevention.
All FCPS students in grades K-8 are eligible to receive programs funded through the Title I grant.
