The Teacher's Guide to ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a safe and secure parent-school communications platform that allows parents to communicate effectively with their student's school and receive messaging, district-wide alerts, and other important updates in a convenient way. ParentSquare can be accessed from a web browser or from the ParentSquare app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. Users can receive all messages in their preferred language—two-way translation happens automatically!

ParentSquare will allow you to communicate more effectively with students, families, and other staff.

With ParentSquare, we can:

  1. Build School Culture. Parents tend to be more involved when they feel their participation is wanted/needed. Friendly technology like the ParentSquare platform makes families feel more involved in their student's education.

  2. Build Relationships. One-way alerts often fail to build positive relationships with families. Two-way engagement will improve the effectiveness of communication.

  3. Give Parents the Tools & Information They Need. ParentSquare can help you reach parents where they are. Send information right to their phones for them to receive in whichever language they choose. They will then have the ability to respond in their home language—but don't worry, you'll receive their answer in your chosen language too!

  4. Empower Family Participation. Families can complete housekeeping tasks entirely through ParentSquare if you want them to. Conference sign-ups, permission slips, and polls can all be housed in ParentSquare.
