Fredericksburg City is a small, historic town located close to the amenities of Richmond and Washington DC. The city offers a diverse community including folks native to town as well as those who have relocated as a part of the University of Mary Washington or near-by military facilities. Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Washington offer historical, educational, fine arts, as well as recreational opportunities. In very little time one can be at a zoo or museum in Washington, one of the many theaters or museums in Richmond, in a historical park in Fredericksburg, or one of the many quaint shops or restaurants in downtown Fredericksburg.
